Havent put it in. My tank is only 76-78. will do it when I put in the cabinets which should be soon. I will be adding the 1200/g one if everything goes well.

You mentioned this at the last meeting. How are you going to hook this up and what is the purpose?

couple of reasons
1- added volume=stabilty
2-takes longer to heat up 2k then 1k gallons
3-easier water change when its outside.

the way I will do it is from my skimmer to my sump, from sump it will drain to the septic tank by gravity and then pumped to my returns back into the tank. this way there is no added pumps to the tank.

How do you deal with sediment that accumulates over time?

if you have the cistern angled in one direction and the uptube to your pump is at that end it should keep the sediment at a minimum.

Joe you think a 200g would be enough to cool my 110g down?

I'm no engineer but your tripling your water volume that's got to help the temp swing.

true, but would that mean bigger skimmer and all that?

true you need to process more water but your display is the same so your nitrates are spread out across more gallons
