WTB: Florida fighting conch

beware, those are hermit crab food. if you have hermits, dont have conches......and def dont have crabs, lobsters and the like (unless they are herbivores only).

I ended up having to order it in. I didnt have much luck local.

And so far (knock on driftwood) my conch and crabs live happy together in my 210. Its been a month or so, they just probably havnt found each other

I don't have any hermits or anything else that will eat it.

AHDonline, Does the conch do a good job at keeping the sand nice and turned over? That's what i want them to keep the sand nice.

so far not really. He is just over an inch long, and does seem to move slow around the tank and i can see him working hard just not making much of a dent in the 210. I do not think i have seen him take break yet. So depending on your tank size it might be good. I just added a sand sifting star to help him out so we will see how they work together

I'm going to order several to try to get male female. I'm not sure what the perfect combination is but you may need 6 or more for a 210 to work the sand.

Where did you order from?
ORA is breeding them in captivity and say they are really great at working over the sand bed.

I actually lucked out and got them free from reeftopia with one of my previous orders.

I was going to get them from Premium Aquatics.
