anyone have some for sale? also i think its the same thing - but on the new drsfosters catalog its on the inside of the front cover. i want all of those! wow!

Do you mean the flowerpot coral? Its an LPS yeah?

If you dont mind me tossing my $0.02 if you get one of these try to avoid the green colored ones. We're still not sure why yet but many people are having issues keeping this color for an extended period of time.

Not saying it can't be done, but if you want to get into them go for a nice red purple or blue - and sometimes being spot fed helps a lot with these guys (well heck any LPS seems to really benefit from it ;p)

I've attempted keeping Gonipora many times, all with failing results. Although I have no hard facts to send to you nor can I site my reasons why... old age probably... if memory serves me it is because Goniopora generally comes from turbid nutrient rich water. The exact opposite of the water quality of our pristine clean reef tanks. Unless your tank is filthy, consider another coral choice. My two cents...

christie...is the one I fragged for you a while ago still alive? my half is still doing awesome! Just wondering!

I have great luck with the branching goniporas. They don't have the attatched membrane of the regular green ones (like the reds and purples) and last a long time! Like Becca said, OD gets them in every week it seems.

Yeah Keith it is - I'm experiencing a little regression that may have resulted from a sting but I'm treating with TMPCC and am going to step up my efforts to feed (without everyone else in the tank getting food)

Going to cut the top off of a 2 liter bottle and spot feed in it, just need to set aside time to do it. Gonipora.org has a really interesting recipe to feed but I'll do mine from mysis juice, cyclopeez and coral vibrance probably as well as zoe marine and decap'd brine shrimp eggs

Hey Jason I just looked at the catalogue - I didn't have one in front of me before- and I think that the coral just on the inside cover is actually pipe organ coral- check out Tubipora.

I believe they are a bit easier to take care of but aren't an LPS coral despite the strange stalks they grow out on
