WTB: lighting for my 45g reef tank/newbie

hi! I'm brand new to saltwater. I have a 45g reef tank that was just recently set up. I have about 35 pounds of cured live rocks that came with some nice corals. My lighting is BAD. My corals are starting to turn brown and I'm in GREAT need of lighting. The tank broke my budget this month, so I can't afford to spend 300$ on the light fixture that I need. Anyone have a used fixture that they're selling...or know where I could get one?
my tank is 24" tall by 25" wide by 18" deep.
It was recommended that I look for an aqualight pro or something with Halide and power compacts and around 175+ watts. I have a canopy, so it has to fit into that space.
Any suggestions on another way to go about lighting? I'm really getting worried about my corals.
thanks!

you might want to call aquaworld (412-732-9100), they always have used lighting and bulbs for sale. Your lighting will also depend on what kind of corals you already have/plan to get.

you might also want to check out pmas.org ;)

How much can you spend right now? You can buy a MH retrofit kit from Salty Critter for about $165 for 175w or $185 for 250w. There will be no tax and delivery from them is only one day since they are in cleveland. I order all of my stuff from them.

Marine Depot also sells retro kits for well under $200.
