WTB: looking to buy a 55g aquarium

I'm searching for a 55g aquarium. It's for the wifey. She wants an aquarium on the kitchen counter/bar area. The one that they sell at the PX/BX is what I'm looking for if anyone has or knows someone trying to sell. We were going to build around it to make it flush, but the dimensions of the one at the BX is almost perfect. Something around 48"L x 24"H x 13"D.
I still have one that I bought from Petbox thats 48"x18"x18" that I'm gonna use as a display for when you enter in the house, but my wife is trying to steal it from me. That tank was freaking expensive. She wanted to put my tank up there to see how it would look to have a fish tank there. This is what it looks like:

This is getting to be expensive!!!! Haha. Well, if anyone has anything up to sell or need to get rid of that I might be able to use. Tank, lights, filter, small tank for a sump, LR, frags.... anything. Please let me know. Maybe I can save a little money. Thanks guys.

Here's some updated pics of stuff in my 45gal.

The mandarin has been easy. I don't even have to feed it. As long as you have live sand, LR, and/or copepods. It just feeds off of the critters in your tank. Super easy!

I've benn doing a little research, and so far from what I've been told I probably shouldn't keep one. Too much competiton for food. That is, until I can get a fuge.

You might want to talk with Dastank. He has a 55 and stand sitting at my house. Just needs a little work but holds water like a charm. Maybe you can strike a deal with him???

I'm not really as experienced, but I would say that the Mandarin is easy with no problems about food. I feed my fish a variety of foods from flake, dried shrimp of different sizes, frozen clams, and I also place plankton in the tank weekly. The Mandarin doesn't eat any of those. He just feeds off the rocks and sand.

Other than the Mandarin, I also have:

1- Tomato clown
1- Clarkii cown
1- Coral Beauty Angel Fish
1- Sailfin Tang
1- Six Line Wrasse
1- Bicolor Pseudochromis
1- either goby/pseudochromis(petbox said goby, but I'm still trying to find out what it actually is)

So, I have no problems even with this assortment.

Oh, and thanks Jeff. I'll talk to Dastank about it. There are also some other people selling one on Japan update. Hopefully we get it for a good price either way because 4 tanks is getting to be expensive.

I heard the Foster furniture store has agreements with some other big companies in the states and you can get them to drop ship stuff to the wherehouse here. My cousin ordered her cribs that way! They say it can take up to 2-3 months. You might want to check and see what other compaines they can drop ship from, maybe one of them sell aquairum stuff.

SCORE!!!!!!!! We got a tank. We asked Kadena PX/BX about it, and they said that we would need to put in an order. I figured, might as well. We can look for a tank while we wait. Then they called us back the next day! They said they had a tank in the warehouse. We already set it up on the counter, and it's perfect. I just finished up the wood work to frame it in, but need to stain. We also need to change the light, get a filter, powerheads, and LR. I also got a stand for my other 55gal. Grinded that down, and repainted. It looks awesome. I'll post picks soon.

I have two.... where is foster?

Foster is one of the camps of a Marine Corps Base in Okinawa, Japan. I take it you are not from around these parts. Okinawa isn't very large and you really have to work at getting lost here.

there are some larger tanks on japanupdate.com for sale..

No stand? NO problem. I can build one Just need to see the tank and your ideas.

yeah, thats not a bad price :)

its the wife that I gotta convince. Although, im pretty happy with my cube. i kep telling myself, the big tank will come in a few years.

on a side note, is anyone on here building a stand and canopy at the kadena woodworking shop? someone is making a real nice set-up. looks good.

Has anyone seen this 70 gal tank? That sounds like the way to start. How would you go about moving a 70 gal existing setup?

That's my canopy...

I messed up though, I haven't been photographing the progress. I fininshed up everything tonight. All I have left is finishing. I'm pretty proud of the progress, It's my first project!

Call Me!!! For a few beers, I will borrow the neighbors truck and haul it to your house ( you have to pay for gas though)
