get a couple powerheads and don't depend on the return pump alone to provide your flow. a mj1200 or two in your 65 should help.

Ciro I agree with Jess. Don't just depend on the return for flow. Set up a closed loop which I think is better IMO than seeing PH's in the display. If you want to come by and check out my setup which is also a 65g I'd be happy to show you.

i know im going to get 2 1200 and mod them but at 1500 gph not 2400gph. but i want atleast a mag 9 for the return. i was thinkin about the 12 and the 18 and they might be to much flow. the reason why i complain is that my return branches out to 3 out puts and the flow is very low. so i need to bring it up a little bit. going to post pix latter on tonight of so u understand what im talkin about.

that was my mag 12 forsale, not ty's, i was right next to him on the same table. it is still forsale but has a broken impeller shaft(used it one month and got sand in it. i pulled it apart to clean and broke the shaft.) it can't be used inline either, it needs to be submersed b/c i tried using it for a closed loop and cracked the inlet threads. I am going to get a new impeller for it so if you want it, make me an offer. i paid about 170.00 for it at a LFS
