WTB or trade for: 90Gal 48x18x24 Tank

Well, it's been about 5 months since I moved and my fish are getting a little tired of there "temporary" home (55gal frag tank and 6gal mock-sump). I figure this time around I would be a little more aggressive with my setup. My stand will accommodate up to a 90 gallon tank. I plan on plumbing the drainage and return through the wall into the garage. I will replace my current TruVu skimmer sump with a 100gal Rubbermaid stock tank. In the garage, above the sump, I will have my current 55gal frag/fuge tank draining in to the now shared sump. Once everything is said and done, I should have 200gal+ total system volume. This will also make it easier to add my top-off and kalk reactor without having to cram it all under the stand.

So back to my earlier point... does anyone have a 90gal (aga/oceanic glass preferred) tank they would like to part with? Buying brand new is a little out of the budget right now. After the new setup is in place, I will have a 60gal truvu set for sale or trade. It will be a reef ready black back tank (few hardly noticeable scratches near the sand bed), wood stand (unfinished), and truvu skimmer sump with 2 filer socks (used of course). I would also entertain a trade. The complete 60gal setup for a 90gal tank.

Please let me know.

Unfortunately, no. It looks like a truvu aquasystem. To my knowledge they are not drilled for sump overflow and the extra space needed for the bio filtration greatly reduces in the tanks usable volume. Thanks for the suggestion though!

Ok, it looks like my quest for a reasonably priced used 90 gallon tank is turning out to be mission impossible. Most everyone I've found so far is part of a complete system. My wife will defiantly take issue with "more fish stuff" just sitting in the garage. It time to change my approach. Now I'm looking for the best price people have seen at their LFS. In my area, I've seen price ranges from $350-$500 for a glass reef ready 90 gallon tank (48x18x24). I live in Morgan Hill and work in Belmont (sometimes Pleasanton) so I can pick up a tank virtually anywhere in the Bay Area. If you could give me a heads up if you see a deal at your LFS, I'd appreciate it.

Yeah, I check CL several times a day. Still no luck. Most people are not willing to part the tank out. They want to sell a package deal. I recently found one guy selling a brand new Oceanic 90 with a starfire front pane and black back pane for $500. That is EXACTLY what I'm looking for but unfortunately it's out of my budget at the moment.

Yeah, I've seen that one. I actually bought my current stand from that guy. I'm just a little iffy about self drilled glass tanks. I'm sure he's done a great job, but if something happens to the tank while I'm moving it, I'm SOL.

If that's a 100 gal wide, keep me in mind too. I'll be on the market for another tank after a month or two. ;)
