Aquatraders . com has good prices if you end up having to order one. I bought one about a year ago, and though I never used it, it was a nice quality piece.

For the price of those damn things, might it just be a better plan to drill the tank and sleep a little better at night? Or is there some reason you can't do that (e.g., your tank is up and running)?

After re-reading my post it came off as more jerky than I intended. I just never really trusted those things and always thought they were overpriced... even when you are lucky enough to find them used.

yeah, unless as you said the tank is running or tempered, the price they cost, you can have a more dependable glass-holes.com kit or diy one like the bean's overflow design outta a few inexpensive pieces of glass, some silicone & a few bulkheads

Funny you should mention lifereef...I just cut the back box in 1/2 to make my overflow box..it was missing the box that goes in the tank.
