WTB: queen conch

I saw some at the Coral Reef Shop about 2 weeks ago. Can I ask what you want one for? Is it to keep the top of your sand bed clean? I wanted one for keeping my sandbed all nice and white, but I was told that queen conch's don't really do that. I've read that florida fighting conch's do though.

If I remember correctly, you can have only 1 queen in a tank but you can have many fighting conch as you like. The queen will grow large 4"+. I have 1 queen in mine and it grew from 1" to 3"+ in a year. I also have 2 fighting one.

I have 3 in my tank, and yes they get big, but if you have a tank big enough to hold them - they seem to do fine. I got mine from an online delivery (I think from http://www.saltwaterfish.com/). All of mine are doing very well and very active - eating and moving all the time.
