WXM profiles What do you use?

I recently purchased a WXM module and I have some pretty boring profiles setup. Post your WXM profiles right now I have a higher intensity pulse during the day and a 20 percent reduction at night.

Not perfect, I'm still fine tuning... 2 MP40's on a 100g cube. I still need to figure out how to sync the pumps as the backup power supply doesn't work if the WMX is offline so I need to figure that out too.

Basically I have reefcrest for about an hour, full blast to stir things up, pulse for about an hour, full blast, repeat.

RC = reefcrest 60%
NE = (nutrient export) constant speed 100%
Pulse = .5 time 60%

Set Pulse
If Time 00:57 to 00:59 Then NE
If Time 01:00 to 01:59 Then RC
If Time 02:57 to 02:59 Then NE
If Time 03:00 to 03:59 Then RC
If Time 04:57 to 04:59 Then NE
If Time 05:00 to 05:59 Then RC
If Time 06:57 to 06:59 Then NE
If Time 07:00 to 07:59 Then RC
If Time 08:57 to 08:59 Then NE
If Time 09:00 to 09:59 Then RC
If Time 10:57 to 10:59 Then NE
If Time 11:00 to 11:59 Then RC
If Time 12:57 to 12:59 Then NE
If Time 13:00 to 13:59 Then RC
If Time 14:57 to 14:59 Then NE
If Time 15:00 to 15:59 Then RC
If Time 16:57 to 16:59 Then NE
If Time 17:00 to 17:59 Then RC

virtual outlet:
OSC 060:00/060:00/060:00 Then ON

WXM program
If Outlet Light = ON Then Lagoon
If Outlet OSC = ON Then Nutrient
If Outlet Light = OFF Then NightWav
If FeedA 000 Then OFF

I run the profiles for one MP10 at 65% during the day and 40% at night on my 17 gal tank. The OSC virtual outlet lets me switch profiles without having to specify times and its always in sync with the lights.

Set Pulse
If Time 08:00 to 10:00 Then ReefCrst
If Time 12:00 to 18:59 Then TidalSwl
If Time 19:00 to 19:59 Then Nutrient
If Time 20:00 to 23:59 Then Lagoon
If Time 01:00 to 06:00 Then Night
If FeedD 000 Then Nutrient
If FeedA 001 Then OFF

I hadn't considered that...crap!

Easily fixed by getting a UPS and the apex AC adapter. Plug the EB8 into the UPS and enable power monitoring on the head unit. Add code to the outlets you want powered, if any, during a power fail event. The vortech will have its own power and so will the apex when the power goes out.

Edit: thinking about that, seems odd that the vortechs wouldnt stay in their last state when losing connection to the WXM. Feature request to neptune or vortech?

No reason to buy another UPS that will last maybe an hour max, when the Ecotech/Icecap model does 24+ hours and many of us already own it. I honestly haven't looked into why the backup doesn't work. I don't know if that's by design or not.

Fallback command maybe? But again if the "controller" (WXM) is offline, not sure if the vortech's themselves will know what to do unless it's built into the firmware.

Fallback command works. I set one of the two pumps to "slow" profile (which is 40% constant). After about 2 minutes of the WXM being unplugged, the pump without a fallback turned off and the one with the slow profile in fallback decreased speed.

However, still not seeing anywhere on how to get the DC backup power supply to work. This is a 24v from the power adapter to 12v backup power change, and it appears as though that capability was removed when the Apex firmware was applied. I'll email neptune and see if there is official support (or unofficial) on how to get the battery backup to function.

Heard back from Curt (on a sunday none the less :D ). Failback is indeed the answer and the battery backup system DOES work. Come to find out... the fuses on the "new and improved" ecotech cables were both bad. I replaced them and it works flawlessly.
