X10 interference solution

This may be common knowledge so please excuse this post if it is.

Recently I purchased a new ACIII to replace an ACII. I use X10 and had no problems with interference. When I receivd the ACIII I simple replaced the ACII with no modification to my wire routing. I immediatly started having x10 interference although it was not severe. I change the setting on some of the moule and it cured most of my trouble. I have almost every piece of electric equipment on control so it could be a big problem.

I had use a regular wireless router to get access to the ACIII and had no additional problem.

Just yesterday I purchased a wireless beidge to get the ACIII on my network. I started having severe x10 issues and started huntting down the problem. At times the X10 module would lock up and only start working if unpluged from the ACIII at the control port. This happend within an hour each time. It was very repeatable and made trouble shooting easy.

The results. The wireless router uses a switching power supply. The bridge uses a wall wort (WW) as does the ACIII it's self. I switch the WW on the bridge for others I had laying around and found the symptoms changed and one nearly elimidated them. HE HE, I mean nearly eliminated them. I then plugged that one into a filter APC UPS and found that this removed alll symptoms related to the bridge.

Still with me?

Now I plugged the only other WW in my stytem, the ACIII WW, into the APC and my X10 problems have been gone for about 24 hours.

In my limited space the large UPS is not practical, so I am off to office depot to find a small filtered power supply.
