I've had my 90 gal Reef setup for over 5 years and all of a sudden last week my xenia which up until then grew like ragweed, I would regularly have to cut out colonies and throw them away. Now the xenia are all shrivled and look like they're rotting. I checked all the water parameters and everything is perfect. I also have some starburst polyps that seem to be doing just fine. I have 250 x2 HQI's and haven't changed the bulbs in 2 years but, if the intensity is lost due to bulb age. Why would the xenia start dying so abruptly? Also I recently got a Raccon Butterfly that ate all my glass anenomes and is now harassing my giant carpet which also looks like it is dying now. Could the anenome be poisoning the water?
