Xenia fell of rock

I have had a small xenia frag for about 3 months and about a month ago it started to shrink up but was starting to look better. This morning I found it had fallen off the rock and at first didnt find it. It is now just sitting on top of the sand looking tiny and with almost no color. Should I take it out or leave it?

I would put it on another rock but somewhere different (light and water movement).....maybe it didn't like where you put it...wedge it between the rocks until it can grab ahold....mine shrink a lot when I move them around so I would not let that fool you.....good luck

Thats intresting cuz mine did the same thing last night. They were not shrunk at all but xenia kinda tends to stick to something and slowly move over with the current. Mine ended up sticking to a pile of hermit crab shells in a low flow area. I would move it to somewhere low flow and wedge it like rudolph stated.

my tang keeps on pecking at my xenia's and they move from there current rock. there open more now that im giving the tang romain lettuce. just wait acouple of hours. if you see no progress try to move them or glue them to a rock and observe to see if anything is irritating them.

Check your Iodine levels. If it moved it ain't happy , so its environmental or chemical. Any corals nearby that the Xenia could have touched?

I would take this opertunity to throw that weed in garbage. You may like it now but if it gets a good hold in your tank you will regret ever putting it in there.
