Xenia is becoming darker?

My Xenia is turning a dark color at the polyps? It was a light pink all over, now the polyps are almost brown. It is healthy and growing like crazy. The only thing that might be out of the normal is it is not growing up but is growing out. The arms stay short and do not reach out like others I have seen. The body has become much wider. Any ideas what is going on?

what type of xenia do you have? There's a bunch of different ones. What light do you have over it? To me it just sounds like the color/strenth of light is just changing the color a bit...There's a bunch of things that can cause one coral to be more colorful than others...i wouldnt really worry to be honest.

I agree with dudeguy. It is most likely just different water parameters, light, and your flow that can change how your coral looks in your tank and will be completely different in another. How long have you had it? I wouldn't worry about it especially if its growing like crazy
