Last Saturday I got two free Xenia frags (thanks WAMAS members). I placed both of them into a plastic cup with crushed coral.
The next day they were both attached....not only to the coral, but to each other.
Since then, the all-brown one is doing great. The stalks are about 3" long, and it's pulsing. The other one, which has silvery polyps, is looking worse & worse, and today the polyps are completely closed.
I always assumed that the various Xenia varieties got along...is that not true?
I think I already know the answer...should I just cut them apart, move the silver one away, and hope for the best?
Thanks for any advice,
-R
The grey blob on the bottom is the silvery one...sorry for the poor pic
