XM 10k - HELP???

Can someone give a description of this bulbs color. Pics would be even better. Seems to be the highest par SE bulb (according to Sanjay) on an IceCap E-Ballast.

Depends on the wattage and what bulb you get. I've seen a guys 175 10k look bluer than a 400 20k both on ice cap ballast

What ballast are you using?

The XM10K is crisp white (some see a bit of yellow especially if next to a "bluer" bulb) on M58 magnetic ballast. It is crisp white (a tad bluer) when fired on an E ballast. This is a bulb that has higher PAR on a mag ballast than an electronic.

As I was reading more on Sanjay's site, I noticed that if you run this bulb on an M58, not only do you get more par but it also runs at a higher color temp. then the Icecap. Wouldn't that mean bluer? I'm gonna have to grab a couple M58's from work to play with them and see.

Yes that would mean bluer. I have a M58 mag ballast with a 250watt XM 20k and it's nice and blue!
