Yellow Candy Hogfish eats Nudibranch?

I have got nudibranch problem in my tank. I see 2-3 of them and some eggs stuck on glass in a couple of places. Yesterday I went to get a small yellow coris wrasse but somehow ended with yellow candy hogfish. LFS did mention hogfish but I was confused :hmm5:

Does anyone know if the yellow hogfish will take care of any pests? It's a good looking fish I must say :)

I havent had any experience with them picking flatwors for me, but their biology suggests that they would, their snout is pointy enough ad they do hunt to a degree for microfauna. Although as they get larger their hunting does diminish and they do develop a greater degree of aggression, much more so than the yellow coris.

I found the species to be quite aggressive when kept in multiples. Singles always worked better for me. They didn't do much for pest removal, IME.

It becomes aggressive to fish other than wrasses, though it will start and be worse toward other wrasses.

Right, I should have been more clear. When I had multiples, the dominant male became very aggressive to other fish in the tank, not his females.

As a single specimen, I never had much issue with aggression with this species.
