Yellow coris wrasse compatibility

I'm thinking of purchasing a yellow coris wrasse for pyramellid snail control. My concern is its compatibility with a large six-line wrasse, a small 1-inch maxima clam, two fire shrimps and a cleaner shrimp. Does anyone have experience with this fish and the cohabitants I mentioned above? It is a really interesting fish - especially its behavior, but I want to make sure it's compatible with its potential tankmates.

The 6 line will kill it within 2 days. I am glad you checked, but sorry to burst your bubble. Anyone else agree? this is just my experience.

flycasterjosh - yeah, that was my major concern. I don't think a 150 is big enough for both of them. They're both similar in shape and aggressive.

I had a Pseudochromis aldabraensis (Orange dottyback) beat the crap out of a newly introduced six-line once in a smaller tank of mine.

6 lines are the devil. You'll most likely never be able to introduce any wrasses in the future.

Totally agree!

The best way to get rid of pyramellid snails is manual removal IME. If you have the predatory kind they will always be on or near the host. Some fish may eat them but they snails tend to come out at night. So unless you have a nocturnal fish (which I believe wrasses are not) having a fish that eats them will not do a whole lot of good.

Are you sure they are pyramellid snails and not the harmless rissoid snails?
