Yellow 'dust' on base of toadstool leather (picture)

I just picked up a toadstool leather from a local reefer for a great price. In his pictures, this coral had full extension and look very healthy. I temp acclimated it, but this is how it looked right after placement into the tank (this was on it in the bag during transit):

And this is the picture (and yes, the price) of what he posted it in his thread previously:

Now I'm sure within 24 hours it'll be open and extended, and even moreso in the next few days. But should I be worried about this yellow 'dust'? If I brush it with my hands it dusts off, but I would have to scrape it with my finger nail in order to get it all off (and I don't want to damage the coral).

Is it some kind of...fungus? Should I not have put this in my tank with other healthy corals? It doesn't seem to be harming, eating, or melting the coral in any way. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks for the tip. I've never seen a coral shed so it's a new experience for me. I came home and even after lights out all the polyps were extended, it looks beautiful! It's going to look great. It seems as though my clown pair is going at it. We'll see if the leather will host it. If so, then it serves it's purpose (that's why I bought it)!

Perked up quick, this coral is really tempermental. My eels will slither through it and it'll close up for an hour, but my clowns play in it all day without bothering it. It opens/closes throughout the day, one of my more 'active' corals.
