Yellow Leather Fiji

Intense lighting and mod to higher flow has worked for me in the past. They loose that great yellow coloration and slowly fade away under the same conditions that the typical Toadstool/Sacrophyton like.

I have one for a couple of years now. It had lost that bright yellow color until I upgraded to full spectrum LEDs. I keep it in bright light and good flow and is a nice canary yellow again.

I keep mine high up under diy leds and lots of flow. this is a double that I have had for years and the leds have been the best for it.

Had mine for about three years now. He definitely likes alternating flow and bright light. Mine has been kept under MH and T5, and is currently about 20" away from my 6x39w T5.

Placement is critical for these guys IME. Mine has been the happiest when on the bottom of tank right on the sand. I have him attached to a small piece of rock that is buried under the sand:

Always been that color when open. Some mornings when he is closed he appears darker.

That picture was taken under a T5 light combo that is a little different from what people are using these days.
