I havnt personaly owned a cucumber but i was tempted at one point to get one ( i love the tigertail ones) but i ended up going against it because i planned on having some rather expensive corals in my tank lol
However when i was reading/researching i know that everyone said that a majority of cucumbers are known to crash tanks if thy do die .... but im not sure if the yellow one can or not best get someone better to answer it for yas
However a general rule for all fish is it quarenteen (QT) him for a few weeks in a seperate tank (QT tank) that way you can see if he may or may not die, it will alows give you a chance to see how he acts.... and afterwars you can keep the QT tank and use it as a hospital tank for future use if a fish gets sick.... its a very very good idea to QT any fish you buy as it prevents disease from killing off everything =(
Also what i heard is that if he does die on you their are steps (that must be done QUICKLY) that you can take to prevent it from harming a majority of the tank... if ur lucky and catch it fast but im not sure what those steps are so ill leave it to some1 else....
I know i only gave u partal answers but i honestly think tis best if ya get someone who has actually owned one to answer the rest as i am still very new at this hobby and still learning.... but i hope thta helps!
but on a positive note nice choice on cucubers =) the yellow ones were my second choice until i had to decide against it =(
