2 of my friends that have given me rock or coral both have yellow sun corals. recently i have found what appears to be a single polyp of the same coral. is this possible?

Can you post a photo?
Is it a very small polyp or adult sized?
If small - could be spawning or regeneration at the base of other polyp, if big - never seen even photos of it, but had read about potentially possible polyps bail-out, when polyp leaves the skeleton (it should be visibly empty, if I remember right) and travels in search of better place to live.
