Yellow Tang- bacterial/fungal?

So I picked up a Tang, and well, it has some kind of infection on it's side. I first thought it was marine ich (dealt with it 3 years ago), so I raised the temperature to speed up the lifecycle. However, I'm sitting at eight days since the beginning of treatment (hypo-salinity and temp.) and nothing has changed.

Could this be a bacterial/fungal infection, instead of a protozoan?

Is it possibly a scar (I doubt it)

It's the only spot on his body, and has not changed this past week +

Is it raised? possibly Lymphocystis? Or maybe just a scrape

my tang had some bumps like that shortly after being treated for black ich. They look like white pimples right?

They took about 2 weeks to go away after my water stayed clean.

It doesn't appear to be raised, at least not like marine Ich.

Would he be safe to stick back in my main tank?

It is safe to put it back in your tank. It is probably just a scrape.
