Yellow Tang, free to good home reef

I see the ETRC section has a bunch of posts in the past few days. We have been really busy the past couple of months, since we are moving to another house (also in Blount Co - Louisville).

So the tank is coming down and the tang is my first priority for now. My hard working yellow tang that I am quite fond of needs a new home. He likes to be fed a small amount of food almost daily in my tank which has little algae to graze. I do care about my pets so I would like to find a good place for this fish that I have had for about 4 years.

I also have a pair of clown fish from Matt.

In the next few weeks my 120 gal tank from glass cages along with LR needs to go. Also have a 75g AGA with stand (future post to come with lots of reef stuff in my cluttered workshop )

I would prefer the tang have at least a 75 gallon home, since I believe in the tang police party line. Has your 95 been set up for some time to be stable etc?

As for LR, I have more than will fit in my 110/120 gal tank. Some has been in a dark environment "cooking" for months.
I'd give AndynSarah a first pick on rock from the main tank for your 29 gal tank.

I am definitely down sizing. There is a nanocube in my clutter shop :rollface:

So there will be all sorts of lights, tanks, etc stuff during the move this month.

wish you was closer. My brother has a 80gallon bowfront that has been setup over a year now, has a pair of clowns and a hifin cardinal. He's wanting a yellow tang.

I understand about finding a good home for your tang. I have a fw gold severum that is 4 - 5 years old and I would want him to go to a good home too.
Everything was moved from a 50 to the 95 on July 1 but the 50 had been up since December 05. I did have a small cycle but it is over now. Just let me know. I still am interested in your other clutter.

Definately take some live rock still. We got a frag tank at the swap and are going to need some rock in there to let frags grow on. I am still looking for more for my 29 as well. What lights do you have that you are wanting to get rid of. We are looking for MH, or VHO, or T5. Pretty much anything actually. We are getting a 40 setup with a 20 sump from fish doc and are going to need live rock for it as well. Looking at getting a trash can to let rock set in til we get teh 40 up and going but yeah. Just lemme know.

I don't have much in excess lighting. Just a small dual pc set up on my refugium. The 120 has a dual magnetic 250w MH with 14k Hamiltons and 220w of VHO which will go with that tank.

That is fine on the tang. It will only allow my tank to mature and stabilize even more. I also might be interested in some LR. Just let me know.
What is the small dual pc set up? I might be able to use if for something.

The pc is a dual 28w PFO retrofit reflectors, with maybe 14in bulbs? I only run 1 bulb on my refuge now.

The clowns have to go also. The oldest is about 1.75 in and had her about 3 yrs since a pup, the other is about 1.25 in. They look just like the ETRC home page pic
