Yellow tang has some white scars on face

Looked into my friends Qtank and noticed his yellow tang looked werid it had white scars on its face. He treated it with cupramine for 3weeks b/c of ich and I noticed it had white peachy kind of cracks or scars on its face near the eyes. but mainly in the front. Its like cracks and no yellow more of a peachy kind of color. what is this and is it treatable and with what? Thanks.

in the library.

without pich it is hard to say but it sounds very like this.

it can be brought on by copper and is best treated with good food.

use nori soaked in selcon and zoecon.

good water quality is very important and i wuld get the copper out.

do a search on here there is alot of info on here.

search fro HLLE, head and lateral line errosion and hole in the head disease.

will even the lowest left over of cupprimie cause the onset of HLLE? My ST has cuprimine that hasnt been removed yet.

Yeah its HLLE dug around the forum and the picture I saw look like that. I am going to feed formula 2 flakes+garlic guard will that help treat HLLE, Garlic Guard has vitamin c. And how long does it take for a yellow tang to recover from HLLE. I have also done water changes everyday this week.

fish started to develope red streaks and I cant seem to catch it so im going to continue feedin vitamined foods + water change, its the only fish in the tank.

Do not forget feeding him nori, put some drops of vitamins and garlic in the nori, fold it into a small square about 1-1/2" sides to prevent it from being ripped off in large chuncks and put it in a feeding clip. Replace it as soon as it is finished.

Thanks Jdieck, I never thought of folding the nori, Im so slow. Thanks for the tip now I can stop the nori from floating around. Currently feeding cyclop eeze and forumula 2 w/ zoe,garlic guard,garlic extreme and vita chem.

Thanks, I hope so too, this fish is the last remaining fish in that tank. It seems its developed HLLE as well. Well going to inform my friend on how to deal with this guy.
