Yellow Tang not so Yellow??

Not much to add past the title. Got a decent sized yellow Tang. I've had him for several months, probably six. About a month ago, he started fading. Overall, the yellow is not as bright and crisp as is was, and he has large white areas in random places over his body and especially behind his eyes and gills. Swimming and behavior seem to be completely normal. Have noticed nothing different, and no other problems with the tank or other fish.

Diet is a mixture of flakes and frozen foods. He eats good and eats at every feeding.

Any ideas?

Since it's acting and eating well, it's probably not disease. Sounds nutrional. Try soaking your food in some Selcon before feeding.

Do you feed algae - while classified as an omnivore, they are really an herbivorous fish and need a good deal of algae to thrive.
