Hello i just bought a yellow tang today. I'm noticing that is breathing is very fast and that he seems to be a bit skiddish. I'm not noticing any spots on him although that doesn't rule out disease. Does anyone have any input on this subject. Thank you in advance for your replies!

He is just getting used to his new surroundings. Turn off you tank lights for a day or two and let him adjust. Should be fine.
Soon as my 2 tangs see me come in the room or get near the tank they come right to the top begging for nori.
Start feeding him nori with your hand instead of putting it on a clip. Like put your hand in the tank holding the ori and rub it between your fingers so little pieces float around the tank. After he notices where it comes from you will have a new best friend. I got my starry blenny sitting in the palm of my hand when i feed nori to the tank while the tangs try to rip it out of my hand. The hawian damsel even dive bombs and eats out of my hand. Its quite fun to do.
Anyways let it get used to the new tank. He is feeling like you would if a giant net snatched you up, put you in a bag, and tossed you in a foreign place like china or something. They are probabley worried about food, if they are gonna get eaten, etc

I bought my yellow, QT'd him for a couple weeks and was skittish. Added to main tank and only saw glimpse of him now and then for a week or more....now he eats right out of my hand! i dont have to have food in my hand and now comes over to check me out for scraps :rollface: BUT what helps is i think he saw my clown fish eat fro my hand one day and must of trusted him and came over slightly cautious but indeed came over...now when cleaning he will come over and swim through my fingers!
