First, some background. Just set up a new tank 9 weeks ago. This fish is from a previous tank. I purchased a refractometer a little over a week ago and found that I had been running my salinity way high. Was using a swing-arm hydrometer previously. Way high in this case was 1.030. I took a full week to bring my gravity back down to 1.026.
Today, when I got home from work, I noticed my Yellow Tang had a red line at the base of his tail.
All my water parameters look good
Ammonia - 0
Nitrate - 0
Phosphate- 0
Alkalinity - 8
PH - 7.8
My calcium is low on account of using instant ocean. Just did my first water change with reef crystals. Coming up slowly. currently is at 360
Temp - 77
Thoughts?
