yellow tang with white priks, a parasit

Hi!

I bought a new little zebrasoma flavences and after 2 days it have a lot of white priks and lumps,parasittes!

My uv filter was broken for 2 weeks ago, Can the uv filter light fiks the parasits on the fish or its nothing to do and the uv cant rescue it?

My saltwater store is so whery slow to take orders! I should have it for a week ago and i considering to buy a new uv from sombody else if it required for the fish..

UV will not fix your ich problem. In fact UV will have no positive effect on your system unless you have two or more tanks that share water; in that case, it will prevent spread from one tank to another. You will need to treat that tang with copper but you have likely spread the problem to your tank.

QT all fish now, at least 6 t0 8 weeks. I would do several ph adjusted temp adjusted fresh water dips while in QT.
