Have some concerns folks, can anyone tell me if my clown has a fungal problem or is simply changing color due to gender?
Approximately 2" in length, bought from LFS and went through QT initally, good water quality, no anenome, not agressed by others, eats well and is very active. Likes to hide behind my powerhead or thermometer instead of rock.
When looking at all fins, it looks like they are "dirty" from edge his/her outer edge to the rest of the body but does not cover entire fin. This black is not solid like you would see in other clown images but also does not seem to be growing. Or is this simply part of the color change for a female becoming a deep maroon color?
Darn thing doesnt stay still long enough to get a nice picture to post, still working on that. Tank is still "new" (less than 6 months) but very stable in all tests.
PH 8.2, sal 1.023, temp 78, NH3_4 & NO2&3 0/0/0, cal ~420, dKH 9-11, (phos is betweem bottom and second lowest on my test scale...crm#)
thanks!
