Yet another Anemone ID...

I inherited this anemone from a setup I bought. The former owner had little to know information about the tank or its livestock.

Thanks!

Yes it is a BTA, but a sick one, starting to bleach and has part of it gone or it just split.
It needs lots of food like silversides to help it out. Good luck with her.
My web page has information on there care if you would like to click the little red house.

Thanks for the ID everyone. I'll start feeding silversides tomorrow. Great site finding nemo! Very helpfull. I'll post some follow up pics after it recovers.

Hey Finding Nemo is that a pyr in you avatar??

Looks like an Havanese to me.

Last night I picked up some silversides and attempted feeding. I cut one in half and thawed it out in a cup of tank water. Even cut in half, the silverside was as long as the BTA was wide. I figured if it could eat it, it would. If not, it would drop it. Much to my surprise, over the course of about 2 hours is enveloped the entire fish half. About an hour after that the BTA was the biggest I had ever seen it.
All seemed to go well, but this morning I noticed once the light came on, the anemone started to expel the fish. It seemed to have skinned it, but the "meat" was still there. Did it spit it out because it was too large? Should I soak in garlic to improve the feeding response?

Cutting them into 3rds seemed to do the trick. The BTA is eating like there is no tomorrow. It is now extending about 1ââ"šÂ¬Ã‚ from the rock instead laying flat. It has also grown about 50% in diameter. Iââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢ll keep up the heavy feeding until it looks ââ"šÂ¬Ã…"œnormalââ"šÂ¬Ã‚ again. Thanks for everyoneââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢s help!
