University of Central Florida professor Linda Walters has about half of the 4,500 oyster mats needed for a reef-restoration project. The Nature Conservancy is organizing workshops for volunteers to make more mats.

The next scheduled workshop is Saturday, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Gillespie Museum at Stetson University in DeLand. Contact Don Zondervan at dzonderv@stetson.edu to participate.

Robin and I will be going to the future workshops, unfortunately we are heading to NY this weekend. But we do plan on attending hopefully everyone there after, Once i get a reply from Gayle I'll post remaining dates.
