You decide QT for new clown

I got a pair of PNG percs a few months ago...they were TINY one was an inch and the other was about 3/4th an inch. I did a bath of formalin 3 because some of the other fish in the same batch had brook. My little 3/4inch clown died about an hour after being out of the dip. :( The second one survived and went in the tank.

I just got a new PNG clown to replace the dead one, its just as small if not smaller! I dont want to formalin dip it now due to the disaster with the first one. So you choose the QT method I should use.

I've seen no stringy poo or brook or ich so far (had it since friday) I did a 10 min fresh water dip saturday...

So far its not eaten..it ate mysis in the pet store though?!?! kept ravaging it till it broke up small enough for it to eat. I've tried mysis and brine. (gonna get some cyclopeeze tonight)

Its mouth has been open but does not look like its breathing out of it. no heavy breathing either.

So...tell me what to do!

I would keep in a QT for 5 weeks. If no signs of problems after that time put that baby in your main display tank....

If you see signs of Parasites then I would treat with copper or Hyposalinity as needed.....

YOu might want to treat breifly with copper while in QT but after ity starts eating and gets over the stress of being moved....

Good Luck....

:D
