(I don't even say that to my husband!)
9 chromis have become 6. Two bodies were recovered, and one is MIA, presumed dead. I have not really witnessed that much aggression (some occasional chasing), but the last one had clear bite marks in his side. There is another who is acting fine but has some marks on his side - I am of the mind that either he will tough it out and make it, or he won't, and there isn't much I can do. I tried removing the last one (with bite marks, when it stopped schooling and eating) to the fuge, but it died there - I don't think these guys will thrive alone. I am hoping the group may level out soon and reach equilibrium.
I added a pinktail trigger on Tuesday. He is thoroughly awesome. I thought his presence would affect the chromis, possibly encourage tighter schooling, but they ignore him, and he ignores them unless they go after the same piece of food he wants. His name is Fido (courtesy of my husband, again), because he acts like a dog. At the LFS I fell in love w/him because he was so alert and playful - he was in a tank by himself and kept following the fish nextdoor, up and down the clear divider, like he wanted to play with them. I expected him to hide upon introduction to my tank, as I've heard pinktails will do, but within 2 minutes he was exploring and within 5 he was grabbing snails off the sand, tossing them, and watching them fall. (It remains to be seen whether he will actually eat them, or if he is just being curious. He loses interest once they close up.) He follows me when I walk by the tank, and if I sit in front of it, he just circles and hangs out right by where I am, hoping for a treat. Awesome!
