i was wondering what are your height dimensions on your stand and canopy? i have a 48 L x 15 W x 17 H tank, and i was wondering what looks best for the stand and canopy, consider having a sump and mh..

my stand is 30" tall, i like it because it isn't so high that you can't reach the bottom but tall enough for easy viewing

60x20x34 Stand

60.5x18x12 Canopy

DIY is the best way to go. Luckily I found a perfect canopy, all I did was make it higher and cut the front face so I can reach into the tank withough opening the piano type hinges for top panel.

If your taller than 6 feet 34+for a stand is a good stand better eye view IMO.

Hey Moonpod,

Looking at your full tank shot from April, the coraline has come in fantastically ! Did you remove some of the rock as well, or is the color change making the rockscaping look more open?

And I was wondering about your 40 inch tall stand - to me tall stands look better, but I was wondering how you like it now that you've lived with it? Do you find the height (and difficulty working it it) to be a problem? Would you do it again, or go with a 36 or 30" tall stand?

Thanks!

C Dub--I moved a couple rocks around and opened up the middle of the tank. The corraline has never been a problem in the tank.

I use a step stool and basically I look like I'm half inside the tank when I am working on it. I need to piano hinge my light baffle or give it break away panels to make it easier to work with. It's not hard, but it could be easier.
