I think you should find a better deal. One that includes a reef ready tank and sump. Maybe a descent protein skimmer, And before you leap on a deal, you need to be ready to take on the project. You need to have your supplies in place, water mixed ready to go, A life-support plan in place for the livestock. Test kits, Refractometer, etc... In fact when you make your purchase you should be looking for the deal that includes all that stuff.
So if it was ReefReady, included sump, heaters, protein skimmer and acceptable lighting for $500 then that might raise an eyebrow. The rock and fish are a different story. Are these the fish that you want to keep. Is this the rock that you want in your aquarium?
