Yumma dropping babies

One of my Yummas is a proud parent. LOL.

I've never had a ric or yumma divide until two weeks ago I think it started. I had a hammer get in the current and got a little too close to one. It was stinging the yumma and it started to recede. So I pulled the hammer away and two weeks later there are two little babies sitting next to it.

Do you think the sting from the hammer triggered it to bud?

LOL good stuff. I have little shrooms all over the place that get in the way of of other corals and the same thing tends to happen. That, and every time one of my rics gets irritated it splits. It's a survival reaction I think...

Self preservation you are correct something bothers it or your tank param go nuts or temp spikes they will try and split if not killed first . Or like me you have shrooms go into colony splits the colony sit for months healthy as can be water is great ect ect then all of a sudden they get a bug up there butt and poof 10 more shrooms are rolling around like tumble weeds in my tank.
