Hey all. I recently noticed these what appear to be growths coming from the nasal area of my zebra moray. The only thing that has changed was a recent tank transfer about a month ago. He has only eaten once since the transfer and nothing in the last few weeks. I have another larger zebra moray in the same tank who was also transferred from the other tank who is eating regularly and has no noticeable issues.
A few days ago I noticed this eel acting strange, not being as elusive as normal during the day, I thought perhaps because the same day I installed eductors thus disturbing him with the new water flow. The next day when I was able to get a closer look I noticed something wrong with his face. I was able to capture him and place him in quarantine to hopefully figure out what is going on and treat the issue.
I found images on Wetwebmedia that are basically the same issue, but was unable to find anyone that knew a diagnosis. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
