Zero Polyp Extension

I have a German Blue Digitata that was fairly large and I broke it into several good size frags accidentally. Now a few of the pieces have no polyp extension and it has been like this for a couple weeks. Is it dead? It still looks ok, no RTN or anything, but its just bare and flat. Not sure f its gonna die or dead.

anyone? It cant be healthy but not really sure if anyone has seen a recovery from this.

I have accidently fragged mine as well. AKA I dropped in in the tank and it snapped off a few branches on the way down. When I glued them to some frag plugs, I placed them low, and within a few days their polyps were extending, but only a little bit. I moved them up slowly over a week. Polyps came back out and it based out completely over the plug in a month.

Don't know why fragging up your digi would make the polyps go away.

Did you move to a different location? Different flow? Different light?

Probably just because the pieces that you remounted are getting their light and flow from a different direction now than they were before. After they adapt to their new location they will open up more.
