zoa and paly QT

i know most corals as everything else should do time in QT , but do you guys qt zoas and palys? or do you just give them a dip and place them in the DT

I advise to quarantine anything wet. I have an invert only tank where new stuff sits for 12 weeks.

My last batch of zoas included nudis so that alone is a good reason to quarantine. Spent about a month picking them off and dipping. I didn't see the nudis right away but closed up polyps made me suspicious.

Much easier to take care of pests like this in the QT.

If they are coming out of a frag tank no fish . Wih Zoas can't you just do a 5 min dip ? I know sps need to strictly be qt'd

I just looked at 2 small frags I ordered and after dipping them and putting in QT they did not open after 2 days. Just picked off what could be nudi (do not have microscope).

If I were to list things that really need QT then both zoa/paly and monti would be on the list 100%. If you let the pests in you DT you will be screwed! Hardly worth it. You need to clean them up, make sure all polyps are opening, and then wait to see if eggs hatch out more predators.
