zoa dip with other corals on same rock?

I just purchased a colony of pink zoanthids and when I got home they also have a 2"x3" montipora on the other side that I didnt even notice. I dont want to kill it with dipping the colony in iodine and ro water. Just making sure its ok to dip.

you could frag the monti off, but it might be ok im not sure, try the sps section someone will know there
