Zoa dominated reef question

So I know with other corals that they have to be kept decently spaced out so they don't kill each other, and I know zoas are colonial and generally go together. But my question is this (I've never kept them before only LPS and SPS) - do different colonies of zoanthids kill each other or can they be pretty tightly bunched together? I'm planning a 60 gallon cube with nothing but a few small fish and a ton of cool zoanthids and was just wondering how close together they can be without killing each other if they do.

Also, when you mount your zoas do you keep them on the little plug or do you break it off and place the coral, or do you epoxy them?

different zoa types can be placed together.
(the same is true for some lps also)

i break the stick of the plug so its just a cap and glue that to rock.

Larger polyped zoos and Paly's will end up overtaking others due to towering over smaller ones eliminating necessary light needed to survive for the most part.
