fungus can be a tough one. dipping can sometimes help...soemtimes make it worse.
This is what I do whenever I see the fungus now, although the only place I have sen it in a long time is on incoming wild polyps in my frinds frag tank
1. cut out all perfectly healthy polyps that show ZERO sighns of the fungus.
2. dip the rest in iodine. some weak...s0em strong. hoep for the best
if some of what you cut out start to show signs....cut the good ones out again
sorry cannot post pics but it seems that my zoas just closed and then dont open back up they just die i had it in 3 diferent colonies in 2 colonies i didnt do nothing and didnt got worst just some of them die and the rest did open back up and my 3 colonie the fungus was in the middle so i dip cut the sicks ones off and 2 days later its getting worst now more polyps are dying from the 3 colonie i dont want to cut it again cause im afraid i will lose the whole colonie
flyyguy i try hard to get a good picture but my camera sucks
all the pictures i took you can hardly see the closed polyps im going to try to frag them thanks
I had good luck with a series of Furan 2 dips with something that sounds similar to what you have. My polyps were shrinking, closing up, and had white fungus (or bacteria) on the few that were open. They've since recovered.
The problem is different, but the solution is the same.
You can follow the same treatment procedure for fungus as you do zoa pox.
The easiest way to do it is described at the bottom of the article.
Good luck.
