zoa garden in sps tank

I want a Zoa garden in my tank. My goal is a sps tank with a zoa garden. When looking at various tanks it appears to me that if you grow you zoa's on a Rock surrounded by sand you can contain your zoas on said rock?

If you want your zoanthids to be contained only on the rock then yes that would work. OR"¦.you can have them on a rock and place pebbles around the perimeter and when they grow over them just remove the pebbles and either sell/trade the frags and replace with fresh pebbles.
