Zoa growing off frag plug

For some reason I tend to notice that my zoas like to grow or move from the middle of a frag plug to the edges. Anyone else experience this and know why?

there just expanding there living area a little soon they will be spreading onto the rocks or w/e else is near by.

I wonder if maybe they dont like the glue used to mount them so try growing off of it.. hmm..

mine's like that also. don't know why they don't want to occupy the middle area of the plug.
