Zoa lighting

I have a 6 39w bulb t5 fixture sitting over my 24" tall 65 gallon tank. Its sitting right above the water surface with just a thing acrylic sheet in between to help with water evaporation. I was thinking of putting some zoas on the sand bed but not sure if that might be too low for them. Would they be okay being 24" below the light on the sand bed or do they need to be placed higher? currently I have them placed mid level about 16" below water surface. What do you guys think?

No problem at all.
Make sure you change your bulbs every 10 to 12 months.
What bulbs do you have on the fixture? What fixture? Photoperiod?

Grandis.

I have a Current Nova fixture. All ATI bulbs Full photo period is from 11am to 7pm. I asked because some polyps of my purple hornets are a fading a little and I a not sure if those specific zoas like more light or less light. They are placed mid level of tank currently.
