Zoa pox. Couple questions.

I have a few zoa frags that have come down with zoa pox. I have never had this happen before. I have done a fair amount of research, and am 95 % sure my diagnosis is right. I also have read the article by thanh Nguyen and reef junky about furan 2 and want to use this treatment, as it seems to have the most success. I have a couple questions about the treatment that I was hoping some of you with experience could help me with.

1. Should I treat all my frags, or just the one that look to be infected? I have about 100 frags, and would say about 10 have shown signs of infection. My tank is 20 gal.

2. How much furan 2 should I use per gallon of mixture? I am a little unclear on the ratio. also how many gallons of water should I use? Is 1-2 gal okay?

3. Do I need to discard the treated water after each dip? Can I keep it for the initial 3 dips or should I start anew each time?

Thanks in advance, and any additional advise beyond my questions would be greatly appreciated!

I would treat just the infected. I find that sometimes it doesn't spread to healthy zoas so putting zoa frags that are healthy in to stressful situations is not good of an idea. However, I would consider dipping frags that are right around it or touching it especially.

I used the API Furan 2 I believe at about 1/4 to 1/2 the bag per 2 gallons.

Unlike coral dip and etc you aren't really killing off things that give off poisonous releases but it would be good practice to make new furan 2 each dip.

I was able to leave the frags for 30+ minutes and noticed no real ill effect. If the frags aren't heavily infected, 1 dip usually does the trick.

Thanks so much for your input! I did my first dip last night, I only did the affected frags, and a couple I was concerned about. I left them in for 20 min. Will do another dip tonight. I will be watching the other unaffected ones closely for a while here, and have put the affected In a seperate part of my tank. So far so good!
