Zoa Pox - How Fast can it Spread?

that Fish Guy

Frag Swap Crusader!
I noticed a Frag of Purple Hornets where One Polyp had Zoa Pox on it.

Then in a couple Days I noticed another Zoanthid Frag with it.

Then another couple today were infected.

How fast does this Stuff Spread?

I have around 75 Frags in this Tank and have been investing a ton of money into Zoanthids.

I cannot afford to have this wipe out all my Zoanthids.

They were doing so fine for 6 to 8 months and now this.

I have been Reefing for 5 Years Hardcore now.

I know of nobody that eats, sleeps, and drinks Coral like I do.

I just run into problem after problem.

I cannot believe that I am saying this but I am thinking about giving up.

This has been a total obsession and addiction for the last 5 years.

Literally all my money is going into Coral and it keeps dying.

First Acans, then all my Chalices, and now this.

I really do not understand why this is happening.

I know what I am doing and now my Noob Corals are dying.

Bro I think you should have combined all the threads into one and you might get a better discussion going.

On the other hand it sounds like you may need to take a step back from the fish tank. It can become unhealthy to have every thought being about coral and such. I had to do this last year.

Zoa pox are not really understood completley from what I have researched so you will not get any definite answer on each question, just a bunch of people's experiences. Use furan 2 and fix the issue, keep a stable tank, and do what you want with your money but I have seen a lot of people go overboard collecting corals to the point of no room left and then discover pests or other issues and loose everything. Take it slow. If you know what your doing and you have "noob corals" dying it would seem as if you need to figure out what is wrong. Most "noob corals" I can think of are indestructible! Good luck.

Zoanthids are Noob Corals and they are far from indestructible.

So many things can kill them.

I see noob corals as Kenya trees and button polyps. There are so many different zoanthids and palys it's hard to call them noob corals, many are extreemly difficult to keep long-term and happy.
