Hello all.
Been a reefer for 8 years now. First time jumping into Reef Central. What have I been missing all these years. Wow.
I've caught some snails (sundial?) and stars thought to get opinion if these are the critters sucking up my Zoa colony? Other Zoa frags are doing good for now.

appreciate everyone's time

54 Bow front. Temp 79.5, Salinity 1.025, weekly water change, led, Reef Fusion 1&2 weekly

Thanks
Dave

Those snails look like Turbo spp. They are herbivores and good for the system.
The stars are a gamble. Some say they won't eat polyps, but most agree that they are pests and eat the zoas.
I would eliminate the stars from the system.

Grandis.

Thanks Bob and Grandis.
Must be the Stars eating them up. Perhaps I'll try some overnight bait to see if we can catch some unknown hitchhikers in the tank.
