Zoa problems

So, Lately I have been having zoa problems where polyps are remaining closed. Some days they look like there going to open (you can see part of the skirt), other days there closed tight. I have several high end zoas in the tank, and it seems to only be happening to the zoas that are on 1 side of the tank. I have a frag of Candy Apple Reds, and I have them on a circular frag disc, I have them where they are facing towards the glass, but everytime I go look at the tank they are turned around. So with that said. I am wondering if one of my fish are actually making the zoas mad staying closed and the reason there disappearing. All the of the parameters check out.

Salinity: 1.026
Temp- 78-79
Alk- 9
Mag 1300
Calcium- 430
Phos: 0.04
Nitrate was about 2 ppm

I have a 36" 6 bulb T5 fixture, and my flow is 1 mp40 and 1 mp10, with a 40 breeder sump,. RLSS skimmer. I don't dose anythingi n the tank, but I do run carbon and GFO.

I have a pair of occel. clowns, black combtooth blenny, McCoskers Wrasse, Orange Prawn goby, and 2 scooter dragonets. The zoas that seem to have the problems are on the same side as the Black combtooth blenny. I had a frag of Sunny D's on a rock where the Blenny sits at and he repeatedly knocked them off the rock,

As for the zoas: I haven't noticed any spots on them to resemble zoa pox, I dont see any fungus on them. I did find a couple of Asterina starfish, removed them and havent seen any lately, but the zoas are still closed.

I have other corals in the tank, Torch, Hammer, frgospawn, Jawbreaker mushroom and an anenome and nothing seems to be wrong with either of them

Any input is greatly appreciated.

Is it all of your zoas on one side of the tank? Also you should glue your frags down so they can't turn around as well.

How close are the problem zoas to to the frogspawn, hammer or torch? These corals have sweeper tentacles that can extend far beyond their immediate area (>6").

I had the same problem in my tank. But all my oz as stayed closed for days. I was beating my head on the wall tryin to figure it out. I had just put a phosphate reactor in and ran carbon iin it. And ran run filter floss all at the same time. My water was dirty from over feeding. So the only thing that I could figure out was that the water got to clean to fast and this was the cleanest my tank has ever been. So I was guessing the they had light shock from the par going up so fast. So I took gfo and carbon off and did water change. Tank was back to normal in a couple of hours.... Idk if any of this can help u, just thought I'd sure my experience on the same type of problem.

Good luck to u
